In Memory of Fernand Roy
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of our father, Fernand Roy.
He passed away on October 21, 2020 at the age of 82. He was the husband of Pauline (née Cheff) and the son of the late Adélard Roy and the late Albina Roy (née Bigras). He is survived by his children: Luc (Jean Burke), Jean (Colleen Logan), and Line (Chico Diotte), his 6 grandchildren (Alison, Jacob, Brett, Courtney, Karl, and Alexis); and one great-granddaughter (Samantha). He also leaves his sister Annette (late Edmond Boucher) and several nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Louis (late Cecile), Arthur (late Irene), Cecile (late Albert Richer), Albert (late Antonine), Thérèse (late Paul-Edgar Beaulieu), Anita (late Aurèle Cardinal), and 2 grandchildren (Fabien and Maxime).
As a dedicated loving family man, he will be remembered for his sense of humour, his laughter, his love for playing games like cards, billiard, his shared passion for the outdoors, and for his handyman skills. As a prankster, he kept us on our toes at home and at the cottage giving us lots of good memories for us to cherish.
A sincere thank you to the Cancer Center from the Ottawa General Hospital especially Dr. Kayvan Amjadi, Dr. Jason R. Pantorotto et Dr. Neil Réaume, the personnel from the 5th floor East wing, and the Palliative Care from the Ottawa General Hospital for the good care provided and their compassion.
Those who wish, may make memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society instead of flowers.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be a private ceremony for immediate family members. Online condolences may be shared at: www.heritagefh.ca
