Your dad will be so dearly missed. He brought so much joy and laughter to every experience. Love to all of you through this difficult time.

Mr Truswell was truly an amazing person. When I worked at Portobello there was not a single day that went by where he didn’t greet me with a smile and a joke. I knew him while I was studying my undergraduate degree and every time I saw him he would ask “how’s our future Teacher doing today”. He never failed to let me know how much he believed in me and always provided me with words of encouragement and that is something I will never forget.
He was truly a genuine, kind, one of a kind person. I feel so lucky to have known him and I will cherish the memories of him forever. My condolences to the entire family

Thinking of you all today as you celebrate the life of your father/father-in-law/grandfather, and lay him to rest.
Much love from Halifax,

The Saint John Hanlon’s celebrated Everett yesterday. We reminisced about all the fun times we shared and shared a meal in tribute to a beloved Uncle. A few of the memories – Everett and his new fancy cars, as kids we always looked forward to seeing his fancy ride. When I got married my first thought for a drive to the church was Everett! He didn’t disappoint – he got me to the church in style. We also remembered his generosity – especially when cutting pieces of cake or squares for desert. A special memory for me was when Everett, Carol and my parents came to stay with me in Halifax. Everett told me that he had a great sleep except for all the ghosts he had to talk to. Carol yelled at him for telling me about the ghosts be he assured me they were friendly.
I have a special place in my heart for my Truswell family (actually named my cat Truswell). Everett will be sorely missed.
Much love to you all.
