In Memory of Diane Rapley
It is with a mix of sadness and joy that we announce the passing of Diane Rapley in the early morning of February 21 at the age of 79 in the peacefulness of her home in Orleans. While she will be dearly missed by her family and those who knew her, we rejoice knowing that she is with her Lord, at peace and free from the suffering of this world.
Diane was born in Fisher River, MB on September 28, 1944 and is survived by her husband of 56 years Ronald, her children Tara (Andrew) and Kevan (Allison), her grandchildren, Rachael, Mia, Melanie, Whitney, Ethan and Genna and her sister Lynne (Arnold) as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Olafur and Blanche Thorleifson. She found much joy in spending time with her grandchildren and serving in many capacities at her church. The funeral will be held at Redeemer Alliance Church in Orleans on Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Redeemer Alliance Scholarship Fund.
Please accept our deepest condolences and our thoughts are with you Tara, Andrew and family. Dany and Stan
With all my heart, I am so sorry for your loss. Ron and Diane, you’ve been incredibly generous and kind to me and my boys over the years and I’ll treasure those memories. Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer that calls me from a world of care, and bids me at my Father’s throne make all my wants and wishes known. In seasons of distress and grief,
my soul has often found relief, and oft escaped the tempter’s snare
by thy return, sweet hour of prayer.
It is with great sadness that we read of Diane’s passing. She was so friendly and welcoming to a new family, with always a word of encouragement. Her life reflected Jesus to everyone she came in contact with. our hearts and prayers grieve with Ron, Tara, Andrew and your family as you adjust to life without her presence!
My best memories of Diane is her playing the violin with Tara and hard at work with her friend Carole Mierans creating the most beautiful garden in Orleans at the Church. She was so kind, so loving and gentle. Enjoy you rest my dear dear Diane. And my condolences to Ron and their loved ones,
Sadden by your loss. I extend my condolences. Diane was a wonderful friend to me. I’m thankful for hear listen ear in times of trouble.
My condolences to Ron and family. I remember Diane and Ron when they went to East Gate Alliance. It’s a time of sadness and rejoicing for sure.
