In Memory of Denyse Souligny

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Denyse, surrounded by her loving family, on September 12 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital at the age of 78. Denyse was the daughter of the late Arthur Génier and late Marie-Rose Auprix. Beloved wife of Germain Souligny for 55 years. Proud and loving mother of four children: Rachel (Doug Hannah), Ginette, Chantal (Philippe Prud’homme) and Guy (Kathryn Keyes); grand-mother of: Jessica Hannah (Ron Henwood), Kyle Hannah (Olha Hudzovata), Eric Hannah, Aidan and Owen Souligny and great-grand-mother of Abbiegayle, Hadlie and Wilford Henwood.  She leaves behind her sisters Thérèse (the late Léo Legault) and Lina (the late Hector Masse) as well as many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by her brother Jean-Louis (the late Marie-Reine Clément) and her sister Doris (Réjean Clément). Denyse was a proud, hard working, generous, devoted and loving person who spent her active life as a school teacher, a profession she enjoyed and loved. Family and friends may pay respect at the Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Orleans on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday September 21, 2019 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A service will be held in the St. Joseph Church, 2757 St. Joseph Blvd at 11 a.m.  In memory of Denyse, donation may be made to the Ontario Lung Association.
