In Memory of David Frederick Streib

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. David Frederick Streib. Dave passed away suddenly at home on January 23rd, 2016 in Russell, Ontario in his 66th year.

A loving father to his children and their spouses: Jennifer Rama (Dave) of Russell, Lisa Streib (Rob) of St. Clements, Geoffrey Streib (Karen) of Russell and Daniel Streib (Nadia) of Orleans. He was a very proud grandfather to: Everett, Brooklyn, Rowan, Marcus, Tyler and Alix. Also survived by a brother Michael Streib (Brenda), a sister Jane Streib, a brother Kurt Streib (Janet) and a number of nieces and nephews.

Born in St. Thomas, Ontario on February 9, 1950, son of the late Allan and Doris (Campbell) Streib. Dave graduated from the Ontario Veterinary School at the University of Guelph in 1977.

Since moving to Orleans in 1978 and establishing the Orleans Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Dave devoted himself to his clients, their pets, his family and community. His passion for animal health and appreciation for the human animal bond will forever be his legacy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday January 28th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Heritage Funeral Complex (1250 Trim Road., Orleans, Ontario). A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 29th at 2 p.m. followed by a reception.
