Passed away suddenly on October 2, 2021, in Orleans Ontario. Well known across Canada within the IT community.

Beloved spouse of 34 years to James Kyle Templeton. Dear son of Robert A Porter (RCAF) of Camrose AB, and the late Gwendolyn I Porter (Goodbody) (RCAF), loved stepson of Myrna E Wallis of Camrose AB.

Visitation will take place on October 8, 2021 from 3pm to 5pm at the Heritage Funeral Complex. 1250 Trim Rd, Orleans ON.

Dale loved and cherished the large circle of family and dear friends he associated with.

He would wish you all the very best life can offer.

My heart breaks for the loss that Kyle and Dale’s family are feeling. Dale was a great person and had that sarcastic sense of humor that always made me laugh. My deepest condolences to Kyle and Dale’s family. I am so sad that Dale is gone. Such a loss. Dale always had a smile on his face and I will always remember our jokes and conversations at the gym. I am grateful for having known Dale – a kind soul. Kyle, you are loved and you have such a tremendous circle of friends who are there to support you, in whatever manner you need. You are not alone in this journey. As difficult as it is, Dale is at peace now. That is all we could wish for him and you. Dale will always be with you. His energy will continue to surround you. On behalf of the whole ESDC team that Dale worked with most recently through Fujitsu, I would like to express our heartfelt condolences to Kyle and Dale’s extended family and friends. The news of Dale’s death was a shock to all of us.

Dale had a professional relationship with many of our senior management and their teams and was well-respected among his colleagues. Team members expressed what a pleasure and honour it was to work with Dale and how there was deep mutual respect. He was a valued colleague to all of those whom he worked with and we have missed him since he left last year. We all wanted to express our appreciation for his contribution to the Programme.
