In Memory of Claude Rodier

LONG TIME EMPLOYEE OF CANADA POST (35 years)

December 5, 1946 – November 13. 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Claude Rodier on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the age of 74.  Loving husband of 52 years to Linda (nee Stagg).  He leaves behind his children Christine, Cindy (Pete Scanlon) and Jason.  He will be sadly missed by grandchildren Ashley, Justin, Maya, Mhairi, Lily and Cameron.  Dear brother to Louise Brazeau (Guy deceased), Ginette Burns (Harry), Michel (Linda) and Jacques. Born to his loving parents, Simone and Marcel Rodier (deceased).

Claude was dearly loved and will be missed by all those who knew him.  He had many hobbies and pastimes, including baseball and bowling (both of which he played in many leagues).  He also loved watching hockey and golf and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. He enjoyed taking long walks and loved spending time at his cottage.  We will miss his great sense of humour, laughter, and his smiles. His eternal optimism, kindness, and love of family are his legacy. As he often used to say, “Every day is a good day“!

Visitation will be on Monday, November 22 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 1250 Trim Road, Orleans. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 23 at 11:00am at Divine Infant Church, Orleans. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

The Desbiens family

Dear Linda, Cindy, Christine and Jason,
I am very sorry for your loss. Claude (Mr. Rodier as I think of him) was one of the many wonderful dads that our high school friend group was fortunate to have in our lives. He always had a great laugh, and welcomed us with his warm smile.

Sending you all my thoughts and prayers. May you find strength from each other as you mourn his loss.

Much love,
Jennifer

Dear Linda: want you and your family to know that your Red Maple Belles sisters all are with you at this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Much love to all the family
