In Memory of Christian Grivon

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christian Grivon on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 51 years of age. Christian was the devoted husband to Heather-Jean, beloved son-in-law and nephew-in-law to Mollene and Basil, Rita and Ernest, supportive grandson, son, and brother to Priscilla, France, Florence, Eileen, and Cherylene, doting uncle to Teya, Aislinn, Oren, and Hugh, dependable brother-in-law to Trevor, Jo-Anne, Llewellyn, and Robyn, and amazing fur-daddy to Truffles. Christian put his heart and soul into his family, art, and creative woodwork. He will be so deeply missed, but is now enjoying eternity with His Maker.

Condolences

I know we only met a few times but I will always remember your great smile and how nice you and HJ were to me and Jason over the years. You were such a talented artist also. RIP

“The Griv” (as we all called him at DKIB, back in the day when he worked in London) was a kind and gentle soul with an infectious smile and a big heart. Christian was a talented artist, a hard worker and a beautiful human being whose presence made the world a better place. Working with him was always fun. I can see him at his desk with his big smile and hear his laugh even now. It is hard to comprehend that he is gone. He will be dearly missed.

“I’m deeply saddened by the loss of such a gentle and kind soul. It was a true privilege to have connected with Christian at various art shows over the years. His warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered, and his art was a reflection of the beautiful spirit he was. He left us far too soon, but his memory and the inspiration he gave to so many will live on through his work. Rest in peace.

We did a few art shows together & it was an absolute pleasure spending time with Christian. Not only was he a very nice man, but he was also an incredible artist! I know that he will be missed by many 🌹 RIP Christian.

Thank you for shining your light so brightly in this world Christian. I will miss you dearly. You left us too soon. It’s difficult to think that you will not be at our weekly gatherings. How are we going to figure out those videos?!! It was always fun catching up with you and HJ in person. I will remember your peaceful, warm presence and funny sense of humour. I’m sure you’re still smiling and making friends.

I am glad to have had the chance to meet Christian through Heather-Jean. His infectious smile, love for colors and art, and his gentle voice radiated such kindness. I am so sorry for your loss, Heather-Jean. Christian was amazing both inside and out as a person and he will be missed. I have no doubt he continues to radiate love from up above and watch over you , Truffles and his loved ones , sitting beside Jesus , interceding for all of us, and maybe figuring out tech in heaven and playing some great music while he’s at it. <3

I am so sorry Heather-Jean. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May Christian rest in peace.

I felt truly fortunate to know Christian Grivon. He was a wonderful person, a talented artist, and great man who always radiated positivity and joy. His spirit touched everyone around him.

I am devastated to hear this news. Christian and I had become friends as we showed our art together at several different events. Dearest Griv / my work hubby.

For once, I cannot find the words. You were one hell of a work colleague / mentor / great friend. As I type this I can see your grin and hear your chuckle. I will always be grateful for knowing you, calming my boots when I got stressed and offering advice and guidance when the going got tough. The world feels less sunny without you in it. Going to miss you mate.

To Heather-Jean, Christian’s family and extended family – sending my thoughts, prayers to you all. Christian was greatly loved by all of those who worked with him. His calm patient personality got us through many of a stressful situation, his ability to charm and win-over some of the most challenging of our customers was legendary! He was deeply respected and admired – his talent always shone through. Wanted to share that with you. Sending all my love and thinking of you on this difficult day xxx

G… honestly it’s so strange referring to you in a past tense… Your smile lit up a room.
We spent many years working together and boy did we laugh. From the Graphics studio antics to beers after work. Many good times shared indeed.
Light up the sky Mr Grivon with your enormous heart and laugh.
Thanks for the memories x

Heartbroken. Worked very closely with Christian in London for several years. A truly gentle soul with a warmth that you seldom find. Generous, caring and ever smiling, his positive, peaceful personality, not to mention his low rumbling chuckle, kept us all sane in the harder times. Everyone in the team loved The Griv and we have been sharing our shock and fondly remembered stories over the last week. He will be very sorely missed and all my thoughts are with “Hither Green” and his family. Rest easy big fella.

I’ll always remember Christian, or Griv as I knew him in the DKIB office in London, as having a huge empathetic heart and a smile that stretched from horizon to horizon. He genuinely lit up the room and set us all off with his humour and infectious laugh. I’m so sorry for your immense loss Heather-Jean and family.

I remember Christian very well from Coyote Trail Dog Park. Always very friendly with a cheerful smile. He was a great dad to fur babyTruffles. My sincere condolences to Heather and his many family members. RIP Christian, my friend.

My deepest condolences to you all.

Christian always had a big smile and warmth that radiated upon seeing you. It is a memory I will cherish.
The sadness of learning of your departure will wane over time, but I will always remember you.
Rest easy friend. Until the next time.

I just found out about this sad news, Christian and I worked together for a short time but I feel I got to know him so well from our chats, interest in arts/graphics design and our fun hockey banter (his nephew was in hockey that played against my sons team.) Christian you were a gem – one of kind, amazing soul. I hope you’re painting and lighting up the sky with your art. My condolences to his family and friends.
