It is with great sorrow to inform you that Chandrika, mother to Serge and Naadiah, daughter to the late Popat Bhai and late Goolab Bhen, sister to Naren, Mahen-late, Joshna, Datta, Bina, Dhupu and Vijay-late. Grandmother to Kian and Maya, mother-in-law to Adheesh.
Born in Durban, South Africa in 1955, she immigrated to Canada in 1986.
After fighting bravely, she succumbed to her battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones.

Chandrika was a wonderful friend and neighbour. She was a very caring woman, always had time to see how anyone was. I will miss her terribly. Rest in Peace, my dear friend.

Such a news. Chandrika was a family friend, in fact a relative. Such a happy person; my wife Shanti, I, our daughter Anshu, and son-in-law Tarun had a very joyous time with her in Mexico. She was just fine last July in my birthday celebration. It was so shocking to learn about her sudden demise. Shanti and I miss her and pray for her soul.
Dear Serge, Naadiah and family, your mother was a beautiful soul who was kind and loving to all. She walked through life with grace and joy touching the lives of so many people. We will all miss her. May her good deeds and blessings offer you solace and support. May her light shine bright on all of you. May God grant her peace eternally. 🙏🏽🪔
I am very saddened by the news of Chandrika’s passing. I will always remember her as a kind, generous and genuine person with a recognizable laugh that finished off most of her sentences! She was a great colleague and friend that will be missed by many.

We are so saddened with the news of Chandrika’s passing. We’ve shared so many fun memories together over the years. I remember her as always being jovial, fun and always having a smile on her face. We looked forward to meeting with her every time we came to Ottawa. We will miss her terribly. Rest in peace Chandrika.

Her love for everyone, chatting, and making everyone feel comfortable. I found her to be an exceptionally warm, caring and a beautiful soul. In a very short period of time we developed such a beautiful connection.

Lovely to have you both in my life words cannot explain how much you both mean to me. Always be there with one another in good and bad times life is so short. Both have wonderful children in your life. As soon as I am well after my op I want to take you both to a fancy restaurant for your missed birthdays. Take care Fateh love to your beautiful family,
When I feel well enough you have a second home to visit, even your boys are welcome anytime.

It’s extremely difficult to believe that she is physically not here with us but she will be greatly missed.
Life is a precious gift, make every second count, create beautiful memories with your loves ones, because we soon become a memory!.
