In Memory of Carmen Laporte

It is with regret that we announce the death of Carmen Laporte, on Wednesday January 16, 2019, at the age of 77. Predeceased by her parents Lucien and Berthe Laporte (Sabourin), her brothers Albert and Marcel as well as her sister-in-law Denise Périard (Albert), she is survived by her daughters Elizabeth (Justin Lopez) and Sonia (Pierre Vaillancourt); three grandchildren: Zacharie, Adam and Alicia; two sisters Hélène and Claudette (Gilles Marleau); a sister-in-law Aline Laporte (Beauchamp) (Marcel); his godmother Gabrielle Lahaie (Sabourin); as well as several nephews and nieces. A religious service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., at Saint-Joseph d’Orléans Church, 2757, boulevard St ‑ Joseph, Orléans, Ontario. The family will receive condolences at 10 a.m. Your expressions of sympathy can result in a donation to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Special thanks to the dialysis team at Riverside Hospital for their exceptional care and for the professional and deeply human support given to Carmen throughout her journey through the disease.
