In Memory of Beverley Ann Moore

Passed away suddenly on September 2, 2023 at the age of 81 years after a long battle with dementia. She was the daughter of the late Jim Davis and the late Beatrice Davis and beloved common-law to Richard Young.

Beverley was born in Winnipeg and spent her early years living at the Tuxedo Golf Course where her father was the Golf Professional from 1934 to 1976. Beverley became an Operating Room Technician while living in Winnipeg then moved to Toronto eventually taking a position with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Beverley then moved to London Ontario with her husband Jim before eventually moving with her family to Orleans, Ontario. Beverley volunteered at her children’s schools on various parent committees, as well as being the local Girls Guides Cookie lady.  Beverley took on several jobs from cooking schools to selling women’s clothing before ending her working as a Consultant for Government programs involving Canadian Residential Schools. Beverley retired several years ago and enjoyed world travels with her common-law partner Richard. Palm Springs was a favorite. She also toured Ireland, Scotland and London UK with her daughter. Beverley cared deeply for her family. She also loved to just walk up to perfect strangers and try to strike up a conversation. She is greatly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves in sadness her cherished children; Christine Moore and Todd Moore (Melanie) and her stepchildren; Jeffrey Young (Marcy) Glencairn Ontario and Sean Young (Cassie) London Ontario. Adored grandmother of James, Graham of Ottawa, and step grandmother of Illianna and Morganna. She also leaves in sorrow her sisters; Louise Hedberg and Edith Davis of Winnipeg.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be greatly appreciated.
