In Memory of Beatrice Wall (née Doin)
It is with profound sadness that the family of Beatrice announces her peaceful passing on February 7th, 2021 at the age of 75.
Beloved wife of Douglas for 50 years and survived by her three sons, David (Michelle), Daniel (Laurie) and Matthew (Nathalie). She will also be fondly remembered by her five granddaughters Mackenzie, Nayeli, Olivia, Elsie and Taylor, by her mother Marguerite Huguet-Latour, sisters Louise (Marcel), Micheline (Yvon), Françoise, Anne-Marie (Luc), her brothers Robert (Marcelle), (twin) Louis-Philippe (Lorraine), Gilles (Sylvie), Jean-Yves (Sylvie) and by all who were deeply touched by her radiant smile, kind disposition and her seemingly endless energy.
Beatrice was born on October 11th, 1945, to a large close-knit family in Rosemere, QC. She graduated from Rosemere High School and shortly met her husband and soul mate Douglas while working for Bell Telephone. They were married in May of 1970 and embarked on an adventure of raising three boys and building the family cottage.
The family relocated to Stouffville, ON in 1976 where they were soon met with an opportunity through Douglas’ employer to move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where life-long friendships were formed, and amazing memories were created while travelling the world.
After four years abroad, the family returned to Stouffville in 1984 and relocated for the last time to Orleans, ON in 1988 to be in close proximity to extended family and the cottage at Lac Gagnon.
Beatrice remained active and lived a healthy lifestyle after courageously fighting two previous battles with cancer. She enjoyed spending summers at the cottage, wine on the balcony, impromptu trips to the beach and spending quality time with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Réal Doin and her granddaughter Claudia.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital for their compassionate care. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal service, but an invitation will be sent to friends and family for a celebration of life when we can all safely gather.
In her honour and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
