In Memory of Audrey Norlen Bharucha
Passed away peacefully in Ottawa on January 17, 2024. Predeceased by her first husband Robert William Norlen, and her children Alexis Marie, and Christopher. Beloved wife of Nanabhai Bharucha, cherished mother of David (Emelda) and Eric (Charlotte). Audrey was an avid reader, an accomplished quilter, and an expressive poet whose words captured the poignancy of everyday life. She will be deeply missed. A Celebration will be held later in Toronto. Online condolences can be shared on www.heritagefh.ca
Audrey was not only my mother’s lifelong best friend, but she was also my dear friend. I loved her and will miss her very much. She was a very interesting and unique person.
Though I’ve not seen Aunt Audrey for sometime we did speak over the phone not too long ago. I’ll always remember her coming down to Toronto with her family and spending Christmas with Mom (Audrey’s sister) and us kids. Those were good times. Audrey and Mom (Val) loved sitting and chatting about life with one another. I think they had a really good connection. I’m sorry she has passed but I think she had a pretty long go of it. Sadly Audrey is the last of the Foster clan to pass away, at least the ones I knew of. My wife Jolanta and I wish to express our deepest condolences to her husband and remaining sons for the loss of their spouse and mother respectively. May Audrey rest in peace.
Audrey was so very kind to me as my next door neighbour when we first moved her. She was a special lady and we exchanged Christmas cards every year until this past one.. our deepest sympathy to her family, especially David.
Aunt Audrey…what can I say. you told me funny quirky stories everytime I called and the older I got, the funnier the stories became.
You know my father wasn’t the greatest at family history but I had you and you were making me a book of your stories…I hope we find your unfinished book one day soon. Say hi to dad for me.
love Jannine
