It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anicia Delos Santos Cardenas on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. At the age of 86, she died peacefully at home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia. She was a loving wife to her pre-deceased late husband Narciso and devoted mother of Narciso III, Tony (Marc), Mila (Greg), Marilou (Clarke), Luis (Angie) and Bernie (Chris). She left behind her sisters Elvira, Magdalena, and her late brother and sister Jose and Dionisia. Anicia has been blessed with 10 grandchildren, Melissa (Jonathan), Nicholas, Chelsey (Alex), Marie-Heather, Luisa, Stephen, Brandon, Bernadette, Analyssa, Courtney and great-grandson Nathan. Lola was strong willed and feisty, yet a caring and generous woman. She had strong devotion to the Catholic Faith. She loved entertaining families and friends through her joy of cooking. In the past three year, Annie was cared for by her loving daughter Marilou in her home. The family would like to thank Dr. Gobessi, Dr. Cucan, her nurses, Tiffany (SW) and her personal caregiver Lyndsay for their care and compassion. Friends may pay their respects at the Heritage Funeral Home 1250 Trim Road, Orleans, ON on Sunday, January 17 from 4:00-6:00PM.
