In Memory of Anatole Kornachuk

Kornachuk, Anatole (Toly)

April 2, 1932 – April 1, 2016

Anatole (Toly) Kornachuk was beloved father to five children: John (Dana), Deborah (Richard), Hope (Brian), Stephen (Carole), and Philip (Tana). He had eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his precious Ruth (nee Duchesneau), and is survived by brothers Walter and Edward Kornachuk.

Born in Lachine, Quebec of new immigrants Paul and Sofia (Zukowska) Kornachuk, Toly earned a B.Eng. from McGill University. After several years in civil engineering (including as Supervising Engineer of Ogdensburg International Bridge), he earned a Bachelor of Divinity. As a pastor and beyond, Toly cared deeply for and helped many people, and he loved to share how a relationship with God is possible through Jesus Christ.

We are enormously grateful to residents of CSLD Montfort who became dear friends – and to the staff, volunteers, and private companions who demonstrated such kindness, hard work, and skill..
