In Memory of Allen Wood
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Allen Norman Wood, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, February 10th, 2019 at the age of 84. Beloved husband for 62 years of Rachel (nee Theule). Proud and devoted father of Brenda (Bassam Maadarani), Nancy (Andy Seal) and Alison (Marc Landry). Cherished grandfather of Trevor, Jeremy, Mariah, Bryce, Evan and Isaac. He will be greatly missed by his sister Ruth “Bin” (Andre Marchand), his sister-in-law Audrey (Paul Jackson), as well as his niece, nephews, and many friends. He will be deeply missed and will remain forever in our hearts. Our appreciation and thanks to all those who cared for Allen at the General Campus of the Ottawa Hospital 5NW. A celebration of Allen’s life will be held at Emmanuel United Church, 691 Smyth Rd., on Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Dementia Society would be greatly appreciated.
