In Memory of Dr. Jagmohan Lal Bhasin

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Jagmohan Lal Bhasin (86).  Beloved husband of Satya for over 60 years, cherished father to Rashmi, Rajnie (Sherman) and Anjlie (Troy). Grandfather to Priya, Anisha, Nick, Aliya, Ambrose and Matthew and Great grandfather to Parker, Levi, and TJ.  He will be remembered and fondly missed by his brothers Guli, Deepak, and sister Sudesh.

Jagmohan passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024, at Baptist Health Regional Hospital in Boca Raton Florida surrounded by his wife and three daughters.

Jagmohan was at his happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He will be remembered as a proud family man with a passion for science and research.

He was an accomplished Dr. of Veterinarian science earning the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada Medal in recognition of his significant research and outstanding contributions to the National Research Council Canada.

His kind, gentle demeanor along with his beautiful smile will forever live in our hearts.

Friends and family are invited to join a visitation at 11am and service to follow at 12pm on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd. Orleans, Ontario K4A 3P7.

We the Bhasin family at Jabalpur MP India are in real pain over the sad demise of a.member so dear to every one. His depart has created a vaccum not only for his family at Canada but for us here in India too. We all Pray for strength to all the family. members and peace be to Jagmohan.

Grief and remorse, the acute sense of loss is traumatic part of life. Shifting along family from Pakistan to India as a child, passed. Schooling at Anjum Islamia School , passed. Graduating then post graduating from Veterinary College, passed. Doctoral decoration from United States, National Research Council of Canada, passed. Summing up life that keeps passing for sure for all, what remain are moments of connect, laughter, your hand on my shoulder.
The memories do not fade, for someone so precious like you. Rest in peace Bhai Sahab.

dear Auntie, Rashmi, Rajnie, and Anjlie – our love and hearts go out to you on the terrible loss of Uncle. It is not often in our lives that we are blessed with a friendship that’ spans as many years through both happy and tumultuous times. What we will miss most is the warmth of Uncles smile that shone bright in his eyes and his uncanny sense of humor. We are heartbroken and will cherish each memory in our hearts.

So sad for the loss of my friend Jag Mohan (Dr. Bhasin). I have lots of fond memory with him. we had a memorable trip to India with Jag Mohan and Satya ji. Card game was always a fun with scotch and snacks. Jag Mohan was loaded with knowledge of human body and will have answer to any question we had. We will miss him very much. Rest in peace dear friend.

Dear Satya and family. It is a quite distressing news that Bhasin sahib has left this abode. He was the kindest, quiet friendly gentleman and always patient. One of the rare kind of human being dear Satya. My heart breaks for you all. I can not stop thinking what a great loss for all of you. May Almighty give you all strength to cope with this loss. My sincere condolences.

Malvinder and I are very saddened to hear the demise of our friend Dr Jagmohan Bhasin. I met Dr Bhasin in 1978. When I joined the National Research Council Canada . Jagmohan and I had many noon walks together and thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company. Our friendship continued after our retirement when we both moved to Boca Raton, Florida for our winter breaks..He will be sadly missed. May God grant peace to his departed soul and strength to Satayaji to bear the irreparable loss.

He sure was a very gentle , kind , and loving Soul. Always so thoughtful and encouraging. He will be missed dearly and even though I was not related by blood I definitely feel he was deeply connected to me. I had a special place for him in my heart and was lucky to have spent a quiet evening with him just before he left for Bocca. May his Soul rest in Peace and sending love and prayers to the entire family.

We are saddened with the news that Dr. Jagmohan Bhasin, dear friend, good human being and sweet soul who departed from the planet earth to heavenly abode. We met him in Boca Raton Florida first time with Wife Satya Ji and we got an impression of him a very wise and humble man and what you see what you get type of personality. He was calm collected and stable human being we ever met..Jagmohan and Satya was a perfect example of togetherness and partnership in life. I vividly remember him walking with Satya Ji in Boca with perfect harmony with nature. Dr. Bhasin death is great loss to friends, the family, community and Canada.
