A LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Woon Cheung Chan
We are sad to say goodbye to my dad, Chan Wong Cheung, who passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 7 a.m. My mom (Chu Sing Ping) and myself (Teddy Chan) were with him as he took his last breath; my sister (Clara Chan) was also with us through video conference. When my dad was first diagnosed with prostate cancer, doctors said he would only have 30 days to live. Four years later, he has shown us once again his strength and we were blessed to have gotten more time with him. He passed peacefully and is now in the better hands of God. He was always a happy person, telling jokes and making new friends everywhere he went. Anyone who knew him knows how much he loved to talk and share stories. He was also the type of person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. We are all so proud of what he made of his life and he will be missed dearly. Family and friends will be gathering on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Complex (1250 Trim Road) at 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. A funeral ceremony will follow in the Heritage Chapel at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
