It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Rajpatie Budhram, on March 19, 2023 at the age of 83 in Ottawa, Canada. Born on January 31, 1940 in Guyana, she was the beloved wife of the late Puran Budhram. Loving mother of Geeta and Matoo. Mother-in-law of Peter and Shanta. Cherished grandmother of Ashok and Dave and great-grandmother of Devina. Sister-in-law of Anjanee Budhram, Irene and the late Rookmin. Sister of the late Tikka Balwat and Rajo. Loving Aunt of Shanti, Hardat, Chandra, Anjanie, and Savo.
Memorial services will be held at Heritage Funeral Complex (1250 Trim Road. Orléans, ON). Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26from 9:30 – 10:00am followed by the funeral and cremation services.
It is always sad to lose a loved one. Today, we are mourning the passing of my Mamee (aunt) and it brings back so many memories of when I was just a kid and I met my Mamee for the first time. She was the best friend and aunt, and we got into a lot of mischief together much to my grandmother’s disappointment. However that was our fun and it always good to remember and cherish past time with the one you love. Throughout her life she was always willing to help with anyone of her family needs and I know that because she did help me at times as the occasion arises. I will miss her very much and I know she will Rest In Peace because of her good nature and, I together with other family will dearly miss her. Rest In Peace Mamee, you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
