A LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Lucien Lamarre
We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather and brother Lucien Lamarre on Wednesday, July 17th 2024, at age 88 years. Lucien was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Laurence Lamarre. He was father to Stephane (Olivia), Kent (Fiona), Dan (Lisa), André, Christine. Grandfather to Chloe Rose (Diego), Amy, Sebastien, Dan Potvin (Dani), Jaime, Naomi, Claire, Eveline, Iona, Annelise and Isabella. Great grandfather to Amaya, Amiel, Jaxon, Skye, Nicholas and Henry. He is survived by one brother Bernard (Agnes). He was predeceased by brothers Reginald and Maurice, and sisters Cecile, Marie-Reine, Marguerite, Lucienne, Thérèse, Claire, Bernadette and baby Madeleine.
Lucien retired from the federal government after 30 years, working mostly for Indigenous and Northern Affairs. He spent his retirement years spending time with his family and grandchildren and watching his beloved Ottawa Senators. We hope that he is now at peace and reunited with his wife.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans, on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 from 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. The memorial mass will be the following day on Wednesday, August 7th at 11:30 am at St-Joseph church, 2757 St Joseph Blvd, Orleans. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County or a charity of your choice.
My sincere condolences to Mr. Lamarre’s family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Natalie
