Irenée passed away peacefully at Centre d’accueil Champlain, on May 5, 2016, surrounded by his family, at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Rita Cloutier and predeceased by his son André (Claudette Groulx) and grandson Luc. He is survived by his children Jocelyne (Robert Laliberté), Gisèle (Brian Acheson), Lise (Diane Vachon), Lucie (Charles Larocque), Raymond (Andrée Robitaille), Anne (Doug Kuwahara), Bernard (Susanne Richter), François (Francine Sincennes), Michel (Ina Wielinga) and Adèle (Stephen O’Shea). He also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brother Robert (Réjeanne) and sisters Fleurette Rancourt and Claire Therien, his sisters-in-law, Yvette Latrémouille, Madeleine Cloutier, and Lorraine Cloutier, brother-in-law, Edmond Buczkowski as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He is also predeceased by several brothers, sisters and in-laws. The family would like to thank the personnel of the Centre d’accueil Champlain for their excellent care and in particular those of the second floor. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday May 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes church, 435 Montreal Road, Ottawa. The family will receive friends from 9:45 am at the church.
