A LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Ginette Phillips
It is with deep sorrow and much sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of our loving and caring mom, grandmother, sister and aunt, Ginette Phillips (née Lacroix), on July 27, 2023, at the age of 70. Her spirit and memory will be cherished by her brother Paul, children Val, Zoe, Vince, and Serge, along with her seven grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.
Ginette recently started anew in Kitchener after the passing of her loving husband Vern Phillips in Ottawa. Ginette was joyful, courageous, and cared deeply for the community around her.
In Kitchener, there will be a condolence period followed by a remembrance and thank you service for Ginette on Monday August 28, 2023 at 6:30 pm at 1414 King Street East, Kitchener.
In Ottawa, family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Orléans, on Friday September 1, 2023, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. The memorial service will follow.
If you wish, donations can be made in Ginette’s honour to the Waterloo Region Food Bank or Ottawa Mission.
She was taken from us too soon and is very missed. It is a small consolation that she is back together with Dad and Nanny, both of whom she continued to miss until the day of her passing. Ginette’s love of travel bloomed later in her life but once that started she embraced life in a whole new way. I am grateful for all the adventures she was able to have and for all the love she gave to us and her grandchildren. xox
Our sincere condolences to the Phillips we are saddened to lose our Dear Aunt Ginette. i recall a fond memory when I just got married. Aunty & Uncle visited Delhi. Aunt was a warm loving kind and generous. Despite being far away from us she would take time to reach out to the family. Will miss her. May Her pious soul rest in Peace
