Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on March 14, 2024.

Born April 6, 1940, in Stratford, Ontario, to the late Geoffrey Green of Rawdon, Yorkshire, and Mabel (née Small) of Ottawa. Beloved husband of Catherine (née Haskin), loving father of Christopher (Lindsay), and devoted grandfather of Edward and Penelope.

Geoff’s career of over thirty years with the Department of Industry, Trade, and Commerce and Industry Canada took him around the world, where he worked proudly with Canadian manufacturing and farm machinery firms expanding abroad. In retirement, he took great pleasure in his travels through Europe with his cherished wife, as well as from his many and varied interests; he was a keen philatelist, a dedicated student of Shakespeare, and an enthusiastic violinist and violist.

A funeral, followed by a reception, will be held at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church, 934 Hamlet Rd, Ottawa, on Saturday, March 23rd at 11am, with visitation from 10:15am until the service. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
