Florence Alice Fox was born on November 14, 1940 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She passed away suddenly at the Ottawa General Hospital on June 9, 2017. Her parents were David Fox (Wagosh) and Alice Ursula Fox nee Trudeau from Wikwemikong First Nation, on Manitoulin Island. She was very active in her Catholic faith, Native culture and the community. She served as a drummer in the Kateri Native Music Ministry, was active with St. Joseph’s Choir, Odawa Friendship Center, Odawa Long Term Care Program, Elders Sewing Group, Wabano Seniors Group, Wild About Walking and the ACORN Canada, Uniting Communities for Justice.
She is survived by her ex husband, Terrence Moses, her daughters, Marilyn and husband Luis Gutierrez, her daughter Dianna, and her daughter-in-law, Pamela, her 5 grandchildren, Luis, Xinia, David, Michele and Isaiah and 8 great-grandchildren Enrique, Patton, Emi, Alex, Jayden, Jordyn, Kayleigh, Journey, and Jayden (JJ). Her brothers, Florian and Fernando, her aunt Helena Trudeau and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and relatives.
