Condoléances

I am so fortunate to have had the Smith family as a large part of my life for over 30 years. Dave, always a gentleman and a gentle man, was a loving husband and father and a loyal and trusted friend. Dave was always there if one needed him, quiet and calm, while supportive and able to think things through and take action. Thank you Dave for always including me in your family and for the many good times we all shared over the years. God bless

Thinking of you all during this very sad time. We were so fortunate to watch Dave walk Natalie down the isle only a few months ago. Dave was an incredibly proud husband and father. Our condolences to your family.

We came to Canada in 1949 and moved next door to the Smith family. My first memory of Dave was him telling me that I could not turn 5 if I did not have a birthday party.Thank you david for the extra year. when he cycled to Yarmouth he always stopped to visit my parents., and they always appreciated that. When I was fortunate to be home agt the same time he regaled us with stories of his time with the RCMP in Ottawa and, later, of meeting performing artists at the NAC.
I always wanted to have a big brother like David.
