Chester Leo McGregor , 87, born in Montreal, Quebec, on July 30, 1934, passed away peacefully in Ottawa, Ontario, on February 13, 2022.
Cherished by his wife the late Marie; his sons Glen, the late Robert and Daniel McGregor; his daughter the late Helen Noel (McGregor) ; his granddaughter Melissa Noel (Adam Thompson) ; his grandson Michael Noel (Julie Ménard) ; and great granddaughters Adyson and Camille, as well as his brothers Carl (Joyce) (pre-deceased), Allan (Céline) (pre-deceased), Garry (Étiennette); and sisters Sheila (Réal) (pre-deceased) and Marian (Alfred) (pre-deceased); and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Chester was a cheerful, friendly, kind, generous and intelligent person who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Ottawa, on Monday, February 21st, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Heritage Chapel at 12 p.m.

Il fut bien-aimé par son épouse Marie (prédécédée); ses fils Glen, Robert (prédécédé) et Daniel McGregor; sa fille Helen Noel (McGregor) (prédécédée); sa petite-fille Melissa Noel (Adam Thompson); son petit fils Michael Noel (Julie Ménard); ses arrière-petites-filles Adyson et Camille; ses frères Carl (Joyce) (prédécédé), Allan (Céline) (prédécédé) at Garry (Étiennette); et ses soeurs Sheila (Réal) (prédécédée) et Marian (Alfred) (prédécédée); ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, parents et amis.
Chester était amicale, gentil, souriant, généreux et intelligent.
La famille recevra parents et amis au Complexe funéraire Héritage, 1250, ch. Trim, Ottawa, le lundi 21 février 2022 de 11h à 12h. La cérémonie commémorative suivra en la chapelle Héritage à 12h.

Thank you to all family and friends that attended the funeral in person or online and shared condolences. As of today, my Dad is now resting peacefully with my Mom, his wife of 62 years.
Chester and Marie were lifelong friends of our parents. Our fathers served in the military together and our mothers worked at the post office in CFB Bagotville many years ago. Our families have been linked since then. They reunited when both families moved to Ottawa, also many years ago. Chester was a kind gentle man who always had a smile on his face. He will be remembered fondly. May he rest in peace.
The service was lovely. He would have been very touched by the thoughtful words of his sons Glen and Daniel and his grandson Michael. Our hearts go out to the entire family.
