It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol on  May 12th, 2022, following a protracted battle with Parkinson’s, with her loving husband Everett Gilman Truswell by her side.

Beloved daughter of the late John Beverly Kierstead and Mary Dorothy Goguen.

Much loved mother of Steve Truswell (Carolyn), Marc Truswell (Louise), Kim Huismans (Peter) and Cathy Fleming (Greg)

Loving Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to Amanda Schroeder (Kevin), Shawn Truswell (Ashley), Kayla Truswell, Emma Truswell, Riley McManus (Brandon) – Neave and Cavan, Chelsea Graham – Prince and Roman, Martin Huismans, Carlina MacWha (Skylar), Michael Fleming, Danika Fleming.  Always in our hearts with loving memories.

Cherished sister of Donna Champion (Donnie).

The funeral mass will be at Divine Infant Catholic Church, 6658 Bilberry Drive, Orleans, Ontario, on Wednesday, June 8^th, 2022 at 12 p.m.  Family members will be present as of 1130 a.m. to receive condolences.  An interment ceremony for immediate family will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery of Orleans, 2757 St-Joseph Blvd., Orleans, Ontario.

No words can convey our eternal gratitude to the very special angels, friends, and caring staff at the Revera Portobello Retirement Residence.  

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation: (www.parkinson.org/ways-to-give), would be welcomed.
