À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Akram Wakim Andrawos Jeadah
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Akram, who left this world on Saturday March 8th.
He was the cherished husband of Jeannette (Kaileh) for more than 44 years and father to Elias (Melanie). Akram was the son of Wakim and Marie Jeadah of Palestine. He was predeceased by his brothers Samir and Andrè and is survived by sisters Samira and Leila, and brother Monir (Jill).
Akram was born in Haifa, Palestine, the youngest of 6 children. When he was 4 years old, his family moved to Egypt where he grew up and went to school and then university. In 1971, at the age of 25, Akram decided to leave Egypt and move to Kuwait. During his time in Kuwait, Akram became largely involved in the Catholic Church and became a Deacon. In 1980, through the Catholic Church, Akram met his wife Jeannette, and were married the following year. A year after their marriage, they welcomed their son Elias.
In 2016, Akram and his wife Jeannette moved to Ottawa, after their son came to Canada in 2010 to have a better life. Other members of his family had already moved to Canada years before. In 2022, Akram moved into St. Patrick’s Home, where he continued to live until his death.
Akram will always be remembered as a kind and polite man, who had a pure heart. He had the most amazing smile that could light up a room. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family invites friends and relatives to the Heritage Funeral Complex located at 1250 Trim Road, Orleans, Ontario on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 4pm to 8pm for Visitation and Reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Patrick’s Home Foundation, 2865 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, ON K1V 8N5
Rest in peace uncle
May his memory be eternal
The funniest thing I remember about our beloved uncle Akram is that he loved candy, and when we used to go to their house to play cards we made sure to have some in his sister Leila’s purse. While playing, he used to get the purse and hand it to Leila quietly to give him the candy. Leila used to give him one every few minutes. But if he spotted a candy on the table, he would stand up and as fast as the lightening he would snatch the candy like a young kid and we would laugh our heads off. He was a very sweet kind person with a pure soul and the most beautiful smile.
Beddi bonboni بدي بنيوني will always ring in my ears. May you be resting in peace uncle Akram.🙏
Always loved, never forgotten, forever missed ❤️
May his soul rest in peace🤲
Beautiful memories with uncle abu Elias.
Dear Auntie Jeanette & Elias,
My sincere condolences. I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of your pure-hearted father and the beloved husband of your mother. No words can truly ease the pain of losing such a dear and cherished soul, but please know that my heart and thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
I was fortunate to have met him numerous times and to have shared moments in his presence. Every time I sat with him, I felt a sense of warmth, kindness, and generosity that radiated from his heart. He had a special way of making those around him feel valued and appreciated, and I was always so pleased and grateful to be surrounded by his goodness. I cherished every moment spent with him, and I will always hold those memories close to my heart.
He was truly a great man—an exceptional father to Elias, a devoted and loving husband to Jeanette, and a caring and supportive brother to Auntie Samira and Auntie Leila. His love for his family was unwavering, and his presence was a source of strength, guidance, and comfort. His wonderful soul shined brightly in everything he did, and his legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to live on in all of you.
May his soul rest in eternal peace, embraced by Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary, and surrounded by all the angels in heaven. May his memory be eternal, and may you find solace in knowing that his love and spirit will always be with you, watching over you from above.
Please know that I am here for you, and if there is anything I can do to support you during this time, do not hesitate to reach out. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
